Okay, I need to share this because I feel SO stupid and I don't want anyone else to go through this.
I had a 5-page Sociology paper due last week. Nothing crazy, but I had two exams and I was genuinely sick (like, fever sick
), so I panicked and googled "emergency essay help." I know, I know. Red flag number one.
I found this site called "AwesomePapers.com" (NOT awesome, do NOT use it). The website looked... fine? Professional enough. They had a live chat. The agent was super nice and promised me a "PhD writer" for only $120. I thought, okay, expensive but worth it.
I paid via credit card. Red flag number two—the charge went through to some company name in Pakistan that had nothing to do with essays.
The day the paper was due? Nothing in my email. I checked spam. Nothing. I went on live chat and suddenly... no one was home. The chat was offline. I emailed support—auto-reply saying "high volume of requests."
A week later, still nothing. I disputed the charge with my bank, but honestly? I'm so mad. I ended up writing the paper myself in 4 hours on Dayquil and tears. It was terrible. I probably failed.
Here's what I learned the hard way:

Here's what I learned the hard way:
- If the site looks too "stock photo perfect," be suspicious.
- Pay with PayPal if you can (better dispute process).
- Google the company name + "scam" before you pay. I didn't. I was desperate and dumb.
- If their prices are way lower than everyone else, it's a trap.
